Unlike Viagra, Uprima is taken by being placed under the tongue, allowing the drug to enter the blood stream faster.

Studies show the new drug works within 15 to 20 minutes as compared to up to an hour for Viagra. Uprima is significantly different from other E.D. medications in that it affects the brain, instead of the penis directly.

Uprima helps a man achieve an erection by stimulating the brain into producing a chemical called “dopamine”. With increased dopamine levels, greater blood flow to the penis is achieved, allowing a man to get an erection. Uprima can be a more effective medical treatment for men with severe E.D. because it directly stimulates the brain to create an erection, instead of the penis like other E.D. drugs. This approach is immensely different than other E.D. treatments. Also, it can be argued that Uprima works faster and is easier to administer by being placed under the tongue, for a quick and direct delivery into the blood stream.
